A measles outbreak has devastated Zimbabwe since April 10, 2022. As of mid-October, there have been over 7,500 reported cases, with more than 700 deaths. Despite government efforts to vaccinate children under five years old, the outbreak has spread to multiple provinces, including Midlands, Manicaland, Mashonaland East and West, Chitungwiza, and Harare. The situation continues to worsen with an increasing trend of new cases.
